Recently a section of the media speculated that Ajith is likely to team up with director Shankar and producer A.M. Rathnam for the sequel of Indian. Bit the latest buzz in K town is that Ajith's next film (after Billa 2) will be directed by Vishnuvardhan and veteran producer A.M. Rathnam will fund the project. Director Vishnuvardhan missed the opportunity to work with Ajith in Billa 2. The proposed project is expected to go on floors in December after Ajith completes Billa 2.
Interestingly, a few years back, the rift between Ajith and producer A.M. Rathnam made headlines in Kollywood. But now it looks like everything has been solved.
