Ilayaraja wife passes away

The popular music composer Ilayaraja’s wife Jeeva passed away in Chennai on Monday due to heart attack. She was aged 58 years. She who was residing along with her family members in T Nagar had complained of chest pain. She was admitted in a nearby nursing home. She was given intensive treatment. But she passed away at 10.40 p m. Jeeva who hails from Pannaipuram is the daughter of Ilayaraja’s sister.


Ilayaraja who had been to Hyderabad to compose music was informed about his wife’s demise. He arrived in the early hours.
She is survived by Ilayaraja, sons Yuvan Shankar Raja and Karthik Raja and daughter Bhavatharani.
